RESUMO
Quatro pacientes portadores de esquistossomose mansoni (três com a forma hepato-intestinal e um com a forma hepato-esplénica compensada) foram tratados com a substância K 7505 ou Ronnel 0,0 dimetil 0 (2, 4, 5 triclorofenil) fosforotioato, avaliando-se o resultado do ensaio pela biopsia da mucosa retal (oograma) e o exame parasitológico das fezes pelo método de Hoffmann, Pons e Janer, quatorze dias após o término do tratamento.
Conclui o autor que nas doses usadas o medicamento em aprêço é destituído de atividade esquistossomicida.
ABSTRACT
Four patients with mansoris Schistosomiasis infection were treated with a new compound K-7505 (Ronnel) or 0,0 dimethyl 0 (2, 4, 5 trichlorophenyl) phosphorothioate, and the therapeutic activity was evaluated by examination of rectal biopsy (oogram), and Hoffmann, Pons and Janer technique 14 days after the treatment. The author concluded that the drug does not have action against Schistosoma mansoni.
