RESUMO
O jogo de pressões seletivas que se estabelece na relação agente infeccioso/hospedeiro tende a uma condição em que a garantia de sobrevivência seja máxima para ambos. Considerando este aspecto, propomos um modelo no qual è possível avaliar o grau de adaptação do hospedeiro ao agente infeccioso, e vice-versa, partindo de relações epidemioiógicas bastante simples.
ABSTRACT
Selective pressures playing, on the interaction between an infectious agent and its host lead to a condition of maximal survival for both. Based on simple epidemiological relationships, we propose a model which permits the evaluation of the degree of adaptation of a host to the infectios agent.
